The projects at The People’s Ministry are designed to assist, support
and educate those in need. Our volunteer member network makes it possible for
us to carry out our mission of “People Helping People.”
The TPM Stop the BullyingProject was created to address the
growing epidemic of bullying. The sad truth is that 70% of kids today are
subjected to bullying, and that’s just what’s reported. Bullying has become a
real problem affecting all ages, genders and races, happening in schools,
social environments, at home, in the workplace and most recently in cyberspace.
Bullying can take the form of emotional, verbal, or physical abuse and can
be devastating to the victim, causing loneliness, depression, anxiety, low
self-esteem and increased susceptibility to illness.
TPM is joining forces with professionals who specialize in teaching
practical strategies for dealing with and putting a stop to this behavior. All
parents need to realize that it is our responsibility to teach our kids about
the damage bullying can cause. It’s really up to all of us to get involved,
become educated and bring awareness to this problem. As a TPM member, you’ll
have access to training resources that will enable you to do your part to stop
bullying in all its forms.
Coming together, working for a worthy cause, improving our communities,
and helping others is what The People’s Ministry and the TPM Stop the Bullying Project is all about.
